At Calvary Chapel Downey our kids (infant through 8th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a fun and engaging way.

We would love to see you and your family visit Calvary Kids.

Here's what to expect when visiting Calvary Kids for the first time:

First, our ushers will direct you to our Children's Ministry area. There we will meet your family, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

• Parent/guardian name(s)
• Child's name
• Child's birthdate
• Home address
• Phone number
• Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

Before Service: You can check-in your child at the Elementary class rooms. After signing in, you and your child will be given matching number tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message. We ask that you exit the sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Calvary Chapel Downey offers childcare during service for infants. But we also have a Mother's Room that is available for mothers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.

Santiago Lopez joined the Calvary Chapel Downey leadership team in 2019 as the Director of Children's Ministry. Santiago served as a lead teacher in Pioneer Clubs along with his wife Josie for many years.
